Okay, I'm Back!

I apologize for the break in blogging. I have excuse except for the truth. I have been super duper busy. The kids have been busy too, but more so me, I have been go go go. I'm not sure where to even start with an update, but here are some pictures! These first 2 are from Saturday when we went walking the trails. We walked for over 2 miles and had a blast looking for leaves and enjoying a 65 degree day in mid November.

This last picture is Bren in a goalie helmet from floor hockey. He is so bummed that he is not playing this year. Peyton on the other hand is SO good! She scored 2 goals last night, and has been rocking every game. We are so proud of her. Who knew? Floor Hockey?

Peyton's conference was last night, and she got rave reviews! Bren's is tonight, so we will see how much the curls have charmed everyone! We are thinking about doing Young 5's with him next year instead of Kindergarten, but we don't know.... Time will tell.
Gotta get dinner on the table cuz it's back to work for me. I am loving my job at parks and rec! I am programing the basketball season beginning in January. I think, perhaps, I have found my niche.

Amazing Weekend!

Our weekend was amazing! The weather was everything anyone could ever want in early November, that's for sure. Grandpa and I took the kids to the field for a little bit of golf, while Secret Agent Man took care of the lawn. We went on many walk and bike rides as well today, because in weather like this how can you not?

Tomorrow is back to the grind. Work and school, but once again we are grateful to have the Grandnanny here to babysit!

Peyton's first floor hockey game is tomorrow night, with 2 practices under her belt we are all excited to see how this goes!

Bren is still a little croupy, we are watching his cough closely to make sure it doesn't turn into bronchitis.

The kids are getting their Christmas lists together, ever since the Toys R Us big book came in the mail. If you need ideas give me a shout.

Floor Hockey is a GO!

She loves it! It is pretty funny to watch. The kids have to wear mouth guards, shin guards, and goggles at all times. This is Pey in the goalie set up. It is SO funny!
Yesterday was also the only meeting this month for math club. She loves that too, so it is a bummer that it only meets once in November.
Bren is cuddled up with me, he has the croup. Poor boy, but very typical for this time of year for him. the weather change gets him every time! Every time. So, we are taking it easy today, watching cartoonies, and snugglin'. I can't complain with that at all!
We don't ahve much planned for the weekend, just thankful that soccer is over and we no longer ahve to freeze early Saturday morning =)

The Wild Rumpus

Ok, wheeew, what a week. What a week.

Halloween was a blast. We had a great time with great friends, I mean, what more could we ask for? The kids looked great, and all the candy has disappeared! Dodged that bullet with efficiency if you ask me.

Floor hockey began for Peyton and she was loving it Monday night. I hope tonight goes as well for her.

Bren was up last night, croupy, but has made a magical recovery today. Go figure?

This has been my whirlwind.....

"Peyton, don't throw bananas at your brother!"

"Boys, stop smacking yourselves in the face!" (trying to leave hand prints on their cheeks.)

The kids have been asleep by 7:30 these last few nights and I must admit, I have been right behind them, exhausted to say the least. Grandpa is in Midland for a few days, so we don't have our nanny. We are managing, but having extra hands sure is nice! I have no one to drink coffee with in the mornings....

We have an easy rest of the week, and no big plans this weekend. Whew. That sounds amazing doesn't it?

End of the Season

Peyton's soccer season came to an end today with a chilly 9 am game. BRRRR! Secret Agent Man and I decided that we sure didn't give her enough credit this season, she really came around. When she is focused is really is a decent soccer player on defense. If it wasn't so stinkin cold we would hope the season went on for a few more weeks, but we are ready for some inside sporting events! Her next sport is Floor Hockey and it begins Monday night. Tomorrow is her day off, we try to keep busy 'round here that's for sure!

Last night was Mason's 7th Birthday party!Rachel out did herself with the coolest Halloween themed foods. We all had so much fun.

Check out that spider cake, cool huh?

Tonight is the 2nd Annual Garage Party, then some trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, then a sugar over load crash I am sure.

Happy Halloween to everyone!

Forever...ever...ever....

Forever, and by that I don't mean the Chris Brown song that the kids sing daily. I do mean forever, as in, yes, I know it has been forever since I have updated. Things have been busy for all of us. We have been go go go, even more so that the usual go go go.

Grandpa is our new nanny. He has learned the ropes of preschool drop off and pick up, and begins his official role of taxi driver tomorrow. He is also babysitting tonight, tomorrow afternoon, and Thursday afternoon. He has been a god send for me! I am so lucky to have the help right now.

Saturday soccer went really well for Peyton. Her last game is Saturday, Halloween. She has been amazing this year, aggressive and hustling. Everything I could hope for from her! Floor Hockey starts next week, so hopefully all of her efforts transfer to that sport as well. Girl Scouts is going really well for her too. She loves the group of girls she is with, and they seem to do a lot of fun activities. Friday night's bon fire was cancelled due to rain so they had a craft party instead. She was thrilled. Math is proving to be perhaps her strongest subject, so this math club is right up her ally. She doesn't get that from me, must be from Myrtle Beach Grandpa, he is a math guy!

I think I am going to sign Bren and Pey up for Holiday swimming lessons this year, just to get another round of lessons done. They both love to swim so much, and both have enjoyed these lessons in the past. And really, at this point, why not add another activity to the books? Right?

Mason will be 7 in THREE days! How exciting.

Her name is Peyton Jane

And she does not like it when I take pictures of her. She stops and glares at me with a look that could stop traffic. But I managed to snap a few shots at soccer of her beauty and athletics ability. This is her best soccer season by far. She is so aggressive and her foot work has improved ten fold.

She had math club after school, changed in the car, and headed right to soccer. What a busy little girl she is. Gotta love it.
Both kids have their Halloween costumes, we are all set except for buying all the candy to hand out here. I am holding off on that for a little while.
Tomorrow is the Girl Scouts bon fire at Tina's for Peyton, she is very excited. S'mores are her favorite. Soccer game on Saturday at 10, and I think it is supposed to be cold and rainy. Yuck!
It is almost the weekend.... Yeay!
